In July 2003, Salz Group opened its first Dunkin' Donuts location. From the outset, our mission was to understand every aspect of the business thoroughly. This meant immersing ourselves in customer service, retailing, cash handling, coffee brewing, baking, frying, HR, and training. By mastering these fundamental elements, we built a solid foundation for sustainable growth and success.
Steady Expansion: One Store at a Time
With a focus on meticulous learning and operational excellence, we embarked on a path of steady expansion. Over the next four years, we opened one store per year, each new location serving as a building block in our growing portfolio. This gradual approach allowed us to refine our processes, enhance our services, and ensure consistency across all our stores.
A Landmark Year: 2016
The year 2016 marked a significant milestone for Salz Group. We opened three new Dunkin' Donuts stores, including one at the prestigious Fulton Center within the World Trade Center property. This location was particularly noteworthy, not only because of its prime spot but also due to its remarkable achievements. The Fulton Center store recorded the highest first-week sales in the history of Dunkin' Brands for a standalone location without a drive-thru. Moreover, the construction of this store was completed in just 101 days, significantly faster than the average timeline of 175 days. This accomplishment highlighted our efficiency and ability to execute projects swiftly without compromising on quality.
Innovating for the Future: 2018 and Beyond
In 2018, we continued to push boundaries by opening the first "Next Generation Image" Dunkin' in New York City. This store set a new standard for the brand, showcasing our commitment to innovation and our ability to stay ahead of industry trends. By embracing new concepts and designs, we demonstrated our dedication to providing our customers with the best possible experience.
Scaling Up: Building a Multi Franchise Model
Today, Salz Group operates 20 Dunkin’ franchise stores, each embodying our core values of speed, flexibility, predictability, and profitability. Our growth strategy combines organic development with mergers and acquisitions, allowing us to expand our portfolio while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
